Note that the issue is not having the .net framework installed, but of having a specific version of the .net framework installed (one version can not substitute for another). Nero 7 Ultra Burning ROM
As you will be aware, when you put service pack 2 onto an XP machine, Nero 6 will not burn anymore. Bullshit. It was a well documented fact some time ago. Perhaps later versions of Nero 6 got around the problem. As he and I only have Nero 6. something or other and I can't find an OEM version of Nero 7.

Nero 6 and 7
That is sort of what happened using Nero Recode 2, but of course the menus are completely replaced and the result was compressed to fit a single-layer DVD. Oops, I was thinking of Nero Vision. Recode 2 just compresses the DVD but it did produce files which Nero Express used to burn a usable DVD.
